Nocturya

Terms of use

Purpose

Nocturya is a correspondence service for adults. Each member can send a letter to a randomly selected person, continue a correspondence, post a photo in the Milky Way and, when a place is available, submit a card to “Under the stars”. Using the site constitutes acceptance of these terms and of the sky charter.

Access to the service

The service is strictly reserved for people aged 18 or over. Registration requires accurate information; one account per person.

The service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of permanent availability.

Code of conduct

The following are prohibited (non-exhaustive list): harassment, threats, hateful or discriminatory speech, unsolicited sexual content, illegal content, impersonation, spam and commercial solicitation, as well as any attempt to circumvent security or ban mechanisms. Do not publish personal data or images of another person without their permission.

Messages, profiles and other content that provide a Report command may be sent to the moderation team. Any member may also block another person; while the block remains active, the two people cannot write to each other, and the blocked person's content is no longer shown to the member who blocked them in the relevant spaces.

Moderation and sanctions

The moderation team may remove any content that breaches these rules and may suspend or ban any account, including by IP address blocking, without notice in the event of a serious breach. Removed content may be retained for evidence purposes.

Liability

Each member is solely responsible for the content they publish. For member content hosted on the service, Nocturya promptly removes any manifestly unlawful content reported to it.

We recommend never sharing information that could precisely identify you (address, workplace, bank details…) with a correspondent.

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for indirect damage resulting from use of the service, its temporary unavailability, or users' exchanges and conduct. The publisher does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability or truthfulness of information communicated by users.

Changes and governing law

These terms may change; the online version prevails. They are governed by French law. The French version of the legal documents prevails over any translation.
