Nocturya is a place of correspondence between strangers from all over the world. So that it remains safe and pleasant for everyone, every member accepts the following rules upon signing up.
1. Respect, without exception
You're writing to real people. Racism, hate speech, insults, harassment and threats are forbidden, whether in letters, the Astral Gallery, “Under the stars” or profiles. This behaviour can lead to the sanctions set out in article 7.
2. No sexual content
Letters, the Astral Gallery, “Under the stars” and profiles are not places for sexual remarks, images or innuendo.
If a relationship grows between two people over the course of their correspondence, that's their business. However, sending sexual remarks to someone who didn't ask for them, or insisting after a refusal, is among the most severely sanctioned behaviour.
3. Protecting minors
Nocturya is for people aged 18 and over. Any content, remark or behaviour of a child sexual abuse nature leads to the immediate and permanent ban of the account and a report to the competent authorities. There will be no warning and no second chance. If you think a member is under 18, report them.
4. No advertising, no soliciting
Spam, advertising, commercial links, scam attempts and requests for money, donations or subscriptions are forbidden, in any form.
5. One account per person
You may only have one account. Fake identities, identity theft and multiple accounts are forbidden, especially when they are used to get around a sanction.
6. Protect your personal information
You're writing to people you don't know: don't share sensitive information such as your address, your bank details or your identity documents. Be wary of anyone who asks for them. Nocturya will never ask you for this information.
If a message or an email seems suspicious to you, even if it claims to come from Nocturya, write to us at support@nocturya.com.
7. Reports and sanctions
You can report a letter, a photo, a message posted under a photo, an “Under the stars” card or a profile. You can also block any member.
Every report is read by a person on the team. Depending on how serious the behaviour is, sanctions range from a warning (which temporarily suspends sending letters) to a permanent ban. To look into a report, the moderation team can view the content concerned, even if it has already been removed.
