Yes, completely.
Who will receive my letter?
Just one person, chosen at random among the members. You'll find out who it is if they reply.
Can I choose who I write to?
You can choose whether your letter travels anywhere in the world or only within your country. You can also say whether you'd rather write to a man or a woman. The rest is a surprise.
Is it really anonymous?
You only share what you want. Other members see you under your username, and your email address stays private. You can add a photo or a few words about yourself, only if you feel like it.
How long does a letter take to arrive?
A few minutes: it travels at the speed of a shooting star.
How often can we write to each other?
You can write to someone new as soon as your star is back from its trip. With a pen pal, you take turns. And if you forgot something, you can add a P.S. to your letter.
Can letters be translated?
Yes. In the app, tap “Translate”: the translation happens right on your phone. This isn't available on the website yet.
What are the public spaces?
There are two. In the Astral Gallery, members can share their photos. The other space, “Under the stars”, opens at the weekend: you can post a card there and get replies to start new conversations. You can prepare it during the week.
Can I block someone?
Yes. They won't be able to write to you anymore and won't be told that you blocked them.
How do I report content or a profile?
Tap “Report” on the content or profile that bothers you. Someone from the team will review your report.
How old do I have to be?
Nocturya is for people aged 18 and over.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings, then My data. You'll have 30 days to change your mind using the link sent by email. After that, everything is erased.
What do you do with my data?
We only keep the data Nocturya needs to work and stay safe, and we don't sell it. Our privacy policy explains everything in detail.
